Transponder Inspection
Transponder Inspection
A transponder inspection is a mandatory procedure for aircraft that have a transponder, which is a device that communicates with air traffic control. A transponder must be tested and inspected every 24 calendar months by a qualified technician or repair station. The inspection ensures that the transponder meets the standards, which include checking the frequency, power output, reply accuracy, and encoding accuracy. The inspection is essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of the air traffic system.
